Along with Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player, Palmer is one of the men credited with giving golf its worldwide commercial popularity. Indeed, he was the first star of golf’s television age beginning in the 1950s. A Hall of Famer, Arnold Palmer continues to be a strong presence in the world of golfing. He owns the Bay Hill Club and Lodge, helped to found The Golf Channel, and was instrumental in the building of the first golf course in China.
